Brian Sims is the Staff Counsel for Policy & Planning at the Philadelphia Bar Association.
A resident of Center City, he currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of EqualityPA and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of GALLOP.
He also serves as the Executive Editor of Upon Further Review and recently joined the National Campaign Board of The Victory Fund.

Before joining the Bar Association, Mr. Sims represented disabled doctors and attorneys in Disability Insurance claims and bad faith cases at a national ERISA practice and then as the principal attorney at The Law Offices of Brian K. Sims, P.C.
He has previously served as the Legal Editor of M.D. News Magazine in Philadelphia, and as an Associate Editor of The Philadelphia Bar Reporter.
At Michigan State University School of Law, Mr. Sims worked as an Extern and Law Clerk for Legal Aid of South Central Michigan.He also served as the Senior Law Clerk at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's headquarters in Washington, D.C for the Office of Enforcement & Compliance Assurance.
Mr. Sims holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University where he was a Scholar Athlete and the captain of the 2000 National Championship Div. II football team.
